BOOOYAH! The 24th Annual FEC AGC APAC Fishing Tournament was a reel success. Your support and participation helped raise just over $40,000 in profit and gave out almost $20,000 in prizes. Profit went to APAC efforts, supporting and helping to elect candidates responsive to the construction industry’s needs.
We had beautiful weather and perfect seas, our participants were competitive to show off their biggest catch. While there were 34 registered boats, only about a third of them made it to weigh-in, but the ones that did, made it worth their while. The big winning team, Ferreira Construction Company, Inc. took the grand prize! They brought in a 38.98lbs Kingfish for the Big Fish Pot, with Maschmeyer Concrete Company bringing in a 37.31lbs Wahoo. The Calcutta with a total aggregate of 111.33lbs went to H&J Contracting.
The fun continued into the evening with the famous seafood banquet at the exclusive Sailfish Club of Florida in Palm Beach, with silent and live auctions, and raffles, where a good amount was raised as well.
