5 Reasons why the AGC Emblem can help your business:

Skill, Integrity & Responsibility -Since its founding in 1918, the first purpose of the Associated General Contractors has been to make membership in the Association a reasonable assurance to the public of the skill, integrity and responsibility of its members.

Identification With Reliability -Experience has demonstrated that the AGC emblem is recognized as identifying the responsible contractor and national associate member.

Reliable Documents Reflect Forward-Looking Attitude - Every document published by the AGC reflecting credit upon the industry and its members clearly displays the emblem and more firmly establishes AGC members as forward-looking men and women

AGC’s Public Relations Program Demonstrates That The Contractor Behind the AGC Emblem Is Reliable - The AGC public relations program is directed toward demonstrating to the public and those who influence the award of construction contracts that the AGC emblem identifies contractors of reliability and dependability and is an assurance of skillful performance.

The Emblem Is Identified With Improvement Of Industry Service - The AGC emblem identifies those contractors and associates who are working toward the improvement of conditions in their industry and toward a better construction service, which benefits the public.

TREASURE COAST OFFSHORE FISHING CHALLENGE

History Was In The Making For

The Florida East Coast Chapter AGC In The

TREASURE COAST

It was the 1st Annual AGC Treasure Coast Offshore Challenge and it was a great success!  A family inspired weekend event consisting of 150 participants, AGC members and prospective members alike, who descended upon the Dockside Inn on South Hutchinson Island.  In all, 35 rooms were booked by our group, with an original block of only 20 reserved.

It all officially began Friday evening with a Captains’ meeting catered by Domenick’s Corner Grill and sponsored by Ranger Construction Industries, Inc.  The 25 captains of the registered boats and their guests gathered to hear the rules as well as receive their buckets, which included:  tournament t-shirts; complimentary lures from Linkhorst and Hockin; sunscreen from the chapter; lip-balm, floaty key rings, pens from 811 Call Before You Dig, and water from the Wantman Group.  The buckets sponsors were Malone Electrical Solutions LLC and Casey Ciklin Lubitz Martens & O’Connell.  After the captains’ meeting adjourned family and guests joined in for some dinner and then many headed next door to the beautiful new Tiki bar/restaurant located on site or remained dockside networking.

On Saturday, boats began departing at 3:00 a.m. for a 6:00 a.m. gentlemen’s start with a scheduled weigh-in from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  While the boats headed out, the dockside junior anglers descended (after sleeping in) on the dock for the day’s dockside tournament.

The $1,000 winners for heaviest fish were: The Signal Group (the Kara Ann) (snapper); Community Asphalt (Mo Dog) (Kingfish); Community Asphalt (Mo Dog) (Dolphin); Palmetto Prime (Knot on Call) (Tuna); and, finally, a close call by about 1 pound for the Calcutta, which went to Ring Power (Bull Dozer) who collected $2,850 from the Calcutta!

While it was, indeed, an extremely hot weekend in August, everyone as indicated above had a great time.  The only thing I think we will change is to stay away from a full moon weekend, where the fish are feeding all night!  This should give our anglers a better return for their investment!
