5 Reasons why the AGC Emblem can help your business:

Skill, Integrity & Responsibility -Since its founding in 1918, the first purpose of the Associated General Contractors has been to make membership in the Association a reasonable assurance to the public of the skill, integrity and responsibility of its members.

Identification With Reliability -Experience has demonstrated that the AGC emblem is recognized as identifying the responsible contractor and national associate member.

Reliable Documents Reflect Forward-Looking Attitude - Every document published by the AGC reflecting credit upon the industry and its members clearly displays the emblem and more firmly establishes AGC members as forward-looking men and women

AGC’s Public Relations Program Demonstrates That The Contractor Behind the AGC Emblem Is Reliable - The AGC public relations program is directed toward demonstrating to the public and those who influence the award of construction contracts that the AGC emblem identifies contractors of reliability and dependability and is an assurance of skillful performance.

The Emblem Is Identified With Improvement Of Industry Service - The AGC emblem identifies those contractors and associates who are working toward the improvement of conditions in their industry and toward a better construction service, which benefits the public.

61st Annual Dinner & Installation of Officers

The Florida East Coast Chapter of The Associated General

Contractors of America, Inc.,  celebrated its 61st Annual Dinner & Installation of Officers on Saturday, January 30, 2010.

Historically recognized as one of the chapter’s most formal and important events, this year it proved to be just that.   Members and their guests had the unique opportunity to socialize, dine and even do a bit of dancing at Frenchmen's Reserve.

The evening was a magnificent celebration of the chapter's success in 2009 with the rough economy facing everyone. The highlight of the evening was the passing of the gavel from 2009 President, Bob Schafer to Mike Daniels.

It was also an opportunity to recognize those who have dedicated their time and effort to ensure the success of the chapter.

Also recognized were: Jay DePotter of Malone Electrical Solutions for his dedicated service as Chairmanof the 24th Annual AGC APAC Fishing Tournament; Greg Reilly of Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. for his dedicated service as Chairman for the 1st Annual Spring Sporting Clay Fun Shoot; Dave Patterson of Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. as Chairman and Renee Williams of Maschmeyer Concrete Company of FL as Co-Chairman for their dedicated service of the 43rd Annual AGC Vincent G. Burkhardt Scholarship & Education Golf Tournament; Bob Schafer of Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. as Co-Chairman and Jay DePotter of Malone Electrical Solutions, LLC as Co-Chairman for their dedicated service of the 1st Annual Treasure Coast Offshore Challenge; Greg Reilly of Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. as Chairmand and Duane Drawdy of Drawdy Construction, Inc. as Co-Chairman for their dedicated service of the 4th Annual Sporting Clay Fun Shoot; Don Sharkey of Current Connections, Inc. for his dedicated service as a Director of the Board; Rick Pintado of Hardrives, Inc. as Chairman of the Safety Committee, and for their participation in the OSHA C.H.A.S.E. program; Tim Van Fossen for his dedicated service as the Apprenticeship Electrical Instructor for 25+ years; the entire board of directors,  staff and volunteers.

To close the evening, guests were invited for music and dancing as way to end a great evening.

The evening proved to be a truly special one.  Guests expressed their gratitude upon leaving and members bombarded the office with e-mails and phone calls expressing their delight!  Thank you to all the members who helped make this yearly event such an enjoyable triumph.
